Lazio have released an official statement denying that president Claudio Lotito and Igli Tare argued during last night’s kit launch.

Several pictures of Lotito and Tare apparently arguing went viral online following Lazio’s kit launch at Piazza del Popolo last night (WATCH).

However, the Biancocelesti denied that the club president and the director had a disagreement.

“As for the stories reported by several media regarding the supposed quarrel between President Lotito and DS Tare, which allegedly happened last night after the event organized by Lazio in Piazza del Popolo, the club clarifies that they are baseless,” an official statement reads.

“Sporting director Tare has the trust of the President and club and will continue his job with the first team as usual. At the same time, the arrival of Angelo Fabiani will aim to manage the Women’s team, the Women’s Primavera team and the male’s Primavera team.”

  1. Typical journalists, acting like sharks to create “news” and problems inside teams.

  2. There has been reports all week about issues between the 2 and this just confirms it. Yes journalists like the drama, but I believe Lotito brought Fabiani to replace Tare next year after his contract expires and to have a back up plan if he does leave early! Of course the club is gonna deny it.
