Lautaro out of Argentina friendlies

Argentina have confirmed that Inter forward Lautaro Martinez will miss their two friendlies this month with a calf problem.

Martinez had been called up for games against Guatemala and Colombia, but the Argentine Football Association (AFA) tweeted on Wednesday morning that he would not be considered for selection after tests on his left calf.

However, it is not yet known whether the 21-year-old will return to Milan or stay with the Albiceleste for treatment.

It comes after the former Racing Club starlet pulled up with a ‘hardening’ of a thigh muscle before Inter’s 3-0 win at Bologna last weekend.
