Lautaro Martinez in a hurry to sign new Inter contract but makes Suning admission

Lautaro Martinez doesn’t know what will happen if Suning lose control of Inter but insists he wants to extend with the Nerazzurri and enjoy today with his family and the Nerazzurri fans.

The Nerazzurri star will lift the first Serie A title as the team’s captain on Sunday after a 1-1 draw against Lazio at San Siro.

“I couldn’t wait for this special day. My family is here, all the fans are here. It was the final home game of the season. We wanted to win, but we met a team fighting for the Champions League,” the Argentinean told DAZN.

“We deserved this title; we must be proud of what we did because we had an excellent season.”

How much does he love Inter and how much did he show it when he broke into tears after their title victory in a match against Milan last month?

“A lot. In that title, in that match, there was a regret for Coppa Italia and Champions League elimination, a regret for losing the Champions League Final in the previous campaign,” he said.

“Many things accumulated. It’s very difficult to end a 38-match journey above everyone else so we must continue with work, sacrifice and humility.”

Suning may lose control of the club tomorrow if President Zhang fails to repay a debt of nearly €400m. Despite that director Beppe Marotta said before the match that the club is very solid.

“They [directors] deal with this thing, we are focused on the pitch. We are calm, and today, we must enjoy this moment, and we must enjoy this party with our families and our fans,” said Lautaro.
