The Bianconeri finally ended their horrendous run of 11 consecutive defeats in last weekend’s 3-3 draw at Benevento, but they are still just three points above the relegation zone.

And speaking ahead of the match against Luciano Spalletti’s Champions League chasers, Lasagna acknowledges it will be a tough ask for his side.

“We need to stay up. And we need to take at least a point against a team who are very strong in all areas – who were beating Juve,” the 25-year-old forward told reporters.

“There’s Icardi. Miranda and Skriniar are very strong in defence, without even talking about Handanovic. It’s tough.

“I will do my best like all the time, giving 110 per cent.”

Despite his team’s struggles, Lasagna has enjoyed a productive season in Udine, scoring 14 times in 29 matches in all competitions.

“I am very happy in Udine, I have four more years of contract. I enjoy the fans’ appreciation and I will always give my best.”
