Gianluca Lapadula “would certainly like to play for Napoli and he’ll have the last word,” said Pescara President Daniele Sebastiani.

The striker has been a sensation in Serie B, scoring 30 goals between regular season and promotion play-offs.

“Napoli is a club Lapadula would appreciate because Maurizio Sarri is a talented Coach who’d be able to get the best out of the player,” Sebastiani told Radio CRC.

“Lapadula would certainly like to play for Napoli. I have a very good rapport with (Napoli President Aurelio) De Laurentiis too.”

Many clubs are interested in the centre-forward, including Juventus, Lazio, Genoa and Leicester City.

“If the financial offer is the same, Pescara will take into account what the player wants and above all he will be looking at the club where he can give his best. Therefore he’ll have the last word on the transfer.

“When the season is over, I will decide the future of the lad along with Lapadula and his agents. There are many requests, insistent ones also from abroad, because he has gone from being a mere curiosity to a guaranteed of goals.

“I hope that if Pescara do have to sell him, he can remain in Serie A.”
