“We are looking to Italy for the transfer market,” Ranieri told La Gazzetta dello Sport today.

“Lapadula is very good. We’ve been following him for a while.”

Now Pescara tactician Oddo is encouraging the potential move to the Champions of England.

“He confirmed in Serie B what he had already done in Lega Pro. If Leicester are tracking him, then that is pleasing.

“I think he is suited to the Premier League. Mind you, other clubs are looking for him, too.”

Lapadula is under contract with Pescara until June 2019.

He has been linked to, among others, Juventus, Fiorentina, Lazio, Olympique Marseille and Liverpool.
