Spurs are in Florence for the second leg of their Europa League Round of 32 clash looking to wipe out La Viola’s slender advantage from the first leg’s 1-1 result.

Unlike his counterpart Alberto Aquilani, who downplayed the importance of the game, the Argentinean sounded highly determined.

“We've got a tough match ahead of us tomorrow. We must play our own game,” Lamela considered to reporters.

“It's very important and we have to win.

“I think of Fiorentina as a strong team that will try and impose their typical style.

“It's going to be an open game as both teams want to dominate. I hope it's going to be a fun match.”

Questions then turned to Lamela's relationship with Fiorentina's Vincenzo Montella, who was the his Coach at Roma from February until summer 2011.

“I spoke with him and it's not true that we had a bad relationship.

“And I never had the opportunity to come to Fiorentina.

“The English League is different from the Italian one, it's more physical. But at the end of the day it's still football.

“It's not up to me to say whether I improved over my time in England. I just do my best to train and get better every day.”
