Milos Krasic has revealed why he so desperately wanted to join Juventus in the summer. "I first dreamt of them at the age of 11," he said.

Interviewed in the Corriere dello Sport on Friday, the winger explained why he refused more lucrative offers from other clubs in order to sign for the Old Lady.

"He was an idol for us youngsters, even if I also had a soft spot for Predrag Mijatovic."

"I first dreamt of Juve at the age of 11 when Vladimir Jugovic, the most successful Serbian player, joined them," he stated.

"He was an idol for us youngsters, even if I also had a soft spot for Predrag Mijatovic."

Krasic was targeted by a numbers of sides while at CSKA Moscow, including Manchester City, but he was determined to move to Turin.

"As soon as I knew of the Bianconero interest in me I decided that I wouldn't listen to any other offers," he added.

"Did Dejan Stankovic ask me to join Inter? I don't know if they ever made a concrete offer for me, but nothing would have changed. I had already made my decision.

"I joked about my future with Dejan, but amongst the laughs there was also advice. He helped me to understand the importance and the beauty of the Italian championship."

Krasic made a bright start to life at the Olimpico, but his form has dipped alongside that of the team in general in recent weeks.

"Nothing is lost though," he said when asked about the Scudetto. "It's useless to make any claims now.

"We just have to take it a step at a time and look where we are at the end of the season, but look at the table and we are there."

Krasic was also surprised to hear that his shirt was the most popular amongst fans after those of Alex Del Piero and Gigi Buffon.

"I'm honoured, I didn't know that," he stated. "I thank the fans who love me and thank my teammates who have welcomed me. They've allowed me to quickly settle."
