The Polish striker spent the second half of the season on loan at Bundesliga club Fortuna, scoring four goals in 10 games.

He accused the Ligurian side of mistreatment last January before his move to Germany, vowing to never play for them again.

“I don’t know anything at the moment,” he told the Polish newspaper Super Express.

“During the European Championships, representatives of Fortuna talked to Sampdoria, they wanted to pay an important fee for me, but the Blucerchiati raised their asking price and the talks have gone cold.”

The 22-year-old started up front during his country’s 1-0 defeat of the Azzurrini in the U21 European Championship.

“I can’t see myself going back to Sampdoria, I don’t see my future there. Even after the match with Italy, many Sampdoria fans made me understand that they don’t want to see me at Marassi anymore, that is a clear sign for me.

“The club’s behaviour doesn’t seem right to me, something like what happened in the winter. There was an agreement with Fortuna for my redemption, then after two days of negotiations, the Blucerchiati took the deal off the table.

“Fortuna want me, and I want to stay with them. I sincerely hope that this situation can be resolved, I repeat I only want Fortuna.”
