Kalidou Koulibaly is reportedly pushing to join Chelsea, but Napoli won’t let the defender go for less than €45m.

According to Goal Italia, the Senegal international is determined to make the move to the Premier League and Antonio Conte’s squad.

There was also interest from Arsenal and Everton, but K2 seems to have his heart set on Stamford Bridge.

However, Napoli have repeatedly stated he is not for sale and the price-tag is believed to be in the region of €45m.

However, Napoli have repeatedly stated he is not for sale and the price-tag is believed to be in the region of €45m.

The Partenopei already sold star striker Gonzalo Higuain to Serie A rivals Juventus, so losing another big name would be a heavy blow.

Having said that, Nikola Maksimovic was left out of Torino’s Coppa Italia squad yesterday amid reports he is heading to the Stadio San Paolo for €25m.

The centre-back could be seen as a replacement for Koulibaly, but that is not necessarily the case.

There are two reasons for that – the first is that Raul Albiol is also eager for a move to Valencia for €10m, the second that Koulibaly will need time away for the Africa Cup of Nations in January.
