The Partenopei have taken two points from their last three Serie A games, allowing Juventus to leapfrog them at the top and open up a three-point gap.

“We had a difficult February, but we’ll do everything to get back to winning ways in March,” Koulibaly assured on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“The Scudetto? We want to win it for the fans. It’s a dream, but first of all we have to lock down second place for the Champions League.

“The three point gap to Juventus is recoverable. I hope the fans will follow us, because it’s important to have them behind us.

“Naples is an amazing city which deserves the best, and we’ll strive to win every game, starting with Chievo.

“We shouldn’t submit to the pressure and just take things week-by-week to try and get as high as possible in the table.

“We’ll give our all in the last 11 League games.”

The Senegalese international was praised by club legend Diego Maradona this week, and the defender can’t quite believe it.

“His words were very pleasing, he’s an extraordinary player who did so much for Napoli, and when he speaks well of me it makes me want to do my best.

“I’m very happy, if someone had told me that one day Maradona would talk about me I wouldn’t have believed it!”
