Ansu Fati will probably miss the Champions League match with Juventus, as Barcelona confirm he has an internal meniscus tear in his knee.

The 18-year-old forward has been their most effective player so far this season, contributing five goals and four draws in 10 competitive appearances.

“Tests carried out this afternoon have shown that Ansu Fati has an internal meniscus tear in his left knee. The treatment to be followed will be determined in the coming days,” read a statement.

There are reports it will require surgery, which would rule him out of the Champions League meeting with Juventus at Camp Nou on December 8.

He’d also miss the other two group games with Dynamo Kiev and Ferencvaros.

Barcelona are top of Group G with nine points from three games, followed by Juventus on six, Dynamo Kiev and Ferencvaros with one each.
