Justin Kluivert has landed in Italy and was greeted by fans ahead of tomorrow’s medical, as Roma agreed a €20m deal with Ajax.

The winger just turned 19 last month and his contract with Ajax is due to expire next summer, so he was available at a relatively low fee.

Multiple reports state a deal has been struck worth €18m plus €2m in bonuses and a nine per cent cut of any future transfer.

Sources from Roma are at pains to point out they are still working out the details, but Ajax have given permission for a medical.

He scored 10 goals with five assists in 30 Eredivisie games this season.

Kluivert’s flight from Ibiza (where he was on vacation) was slightly delayed, but he was still greeted by around 500 Roma fans at Fiumicino Airport this evening.

The son of Dutch legend Patrick Kluivert will have his medical at the Villa Stuart clinic tomorrow before signing a five-year contract worth around €2m per season.

He’ll become the fourth signing of the season for the Giallorossi after Atalanta midfielder Bryan Cristante, Dinamo Zagreb talent Ante Coric and FC Porto defender Ivan Marcano.
