Sami Khedira is confident fellow German international Benedikt Howedes “will be very important for Juventus.”
The 29-year-old defender was snapped up from Schalke 04 at a cost of €3.5m for the loan with obligation to buy for €13m once he reaches 25 appearances.
“I’ve known Howedes well for many years, we have played both together and as opponents,” said Khedira in a Press conference while on international duty.

“I’ve known Howedes well for many years, we have played both together and as opponents,” said Khedira in a Press conference while on international duty.
“I know him as a very good player and person. He’s got character and will be very important for Juventus.
“I can only say that Howedes is impeccable, very intelligent, tactically well-prepared. I think it’ll be wonderful for him to become part of Italian football.”
