According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri will miss Kessie after he picked up a muscular problem on international duty, which was further exacerbated in the derby defeat to Inter.
The Ivorian already skipped Thursday’s 3-1 Europa League loss to Real Betis and is unlikely to be passed fit for Sunday.
Gennaro Gattuso is reportedly considering a move to the 4-4-2 system with Diego Laxalt on the left wing, moving Giacomo Bonaventura to central midfield with Lucas Biglia.
Another option would be to simply replace Kessie in the 4-3-3 with Tiemoue Bakayoko, but the man on loan from Chelsea continues to give very few assurances with his performances.
