Keita Balde Diao’s agent claims talk that the Monaco new boy had an agreement with Juventus was “a colossal lie”.

Taking to Twitter on Friday afternoon, Calenda also rubbished reports that he wanted Keita to wind down his Lazio contract so he could receive more commission when negotiating with other clubs.

“After the transfer window, here are the five colossal lies read or heard in the last, few months,” he began.

“1. Keita already had an agreement with Juventus and rejected all other destinations.

“The truth: Keita, for professional reasons, didn’t accept any offers from Italy and chose Monaco.

“2. Calenda wanted Keita to leave on a free transfer so he could get more commission.

“The truth: We’re all about fairness and professionalism. We decided not to use Article 17, not to wind his contract down and recognise the work of everyone by working towards an ideal solution from all points of view.”
