It was reported yesterday that the Croatian striker was being considered as a replacement for Gonzalo Higuain, who joined Juventus for €90m.

However, speaking to SN in his native Croatia, the Viola forward insists he knows nothing about an offer from the Partenopei.

“I don’t know anything, it’s not a question to ask me,” Kalinic said.

“Fiorentina is my club, and that’s the only thing that interests me. I came to Florence last year, I still have a contract for three more years and I’m just trying to prepare for next season so it’ll be better than the one that came before it.

“I’d like to start as we did last year, and maintain that pace until the last day, without the drop-off in results.

“Everything is more or less the same as a year ago, we’re doing well and I’m glad of that.”
