Kakha Kaladze has taken a swipe at former club Milan ahead of this weekend's Serie A clash between the two.

The Georgian was sold by the San Siro giants in the summer, a decision which still seems to trouble him.

"People said I was broke, but that wasn't the case," he told the Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday. "A lot of false things have been said about me.

"I had a knee cartilage operation which I needed time to recover from. I'm quite a heavy guy and it is hard for me to easily find some form.

"But here at Genoa I have found the right people to help me. I have no regrets."

Asked to explain who wanted him out at Milanello, the international defender insisted it wasn't Leonardo or Massimiliano Allegri.

"The Coaches had nothing to do with it," he added. "The Coaches at Milan decide very little.

"I don't know whose fault my departure was, but I will always remain grateful to Milan for what they gave me."

Genoa have struggled this season, but Kaladze is confident that his side can stun the League leaders this weekend.

"I want to remind everyone that no team is invincible," he continued. "While at Milan I came here and lost against Genoa.

"Nothing is impossible with these Genoa fans."
