Ricky Kaka is believed set for a place on the Milan bench next weekend as he verges on a return to full fitness.

The Brazilian has seen his return to the Rossoneri this season somewhat tempered by an early issue with a thigh strain picked up in mid-September.

However, reports in Italy today suggest that the 31-year-old is nearly a return to optimum condition and will make the bench for Milan’s home fixture with the Zebrette set for next Saturday evening.

Whilst medical staff at the club have been seen as cautious in their treatment and recovery programme for the attacking midfielder, it is understood that on from possibly featuring in the Udinese game, Kaka will be available for the midweek Champions League meeting to follow at home to Barcelona.

Since picking up his thigh strain midway through last month, the player had opted not to be paid until fully fit again.
