Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani thinks he made no mistake in re-signing Ricardo Kaka from Real Madrid during the summer.

The Brazilian struggled in the Spanish capital, but he is starting to silence his critics with his recent performances.

“Ricky is a phenomenon,” Galliani stated after the South American, a free signing, scored in the 3-1 win at Catania on Sunday.

“He told me that he was waiting for Mario to arrive, but he didn’t arrive and so he shot himself…

“You know I cried in 2009 when I went to sell him to Real, then I thank the Lord that I had the idea on August 31 to go to Madrid, without any pre-arranged appointment, and from there it all happened and Kaka came back.”

Kaka has scored three goals in eight Serie A games, while he has one in three Champions League encounters.

“I was happy with the reaction after conceding the goal and the double victory away from home in the Champions League [Celtic] and the championship [Catania],” added Galliani.

“We had five players in defence who are not first team-regulars or that don’t play that much and they all did well.”
