Sky Sport Italia reports the Brazilian youngster, who suffered an injury in the left thigh and was expected to be back in 10 days, will have to oversee a longer period on the sidelines.
The broadcaster expects further news within a few days, as he will be officially presented by the club on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old has joined Juventus on a five-year contract after the Bianconeri secured a €1.5m deal with Santos to secure the starlet.
But the Brazil U20 international must wait for his debut with the Old Lady, as the report claims he’s not expected back in action before the end of September.
