Napoli’s official radio station reports that Juventus will not pay Gonzalo Higuain’s release clause.

The Bianconeri are looking to bring the striker to Turin this summer, and have reportedly agreed a €7.5m per season contract.

However, the Partenopei are refusing to negotiate for last season’s Capocannoniere, and have made it clear the only way they’ll sell to the Bianconeri is if they pay the €94m release clause.

However, the Partenopei are refusing to negotiate for last season’s Capocannoniere, and have made it clear the only way they’ll sell to the Bianconeri is if they pay the €94m release clause.

Now Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli is reporting that, as things stand, the Old Lady have no intention of activating the clause, while President Aurelio De Laurentiis would reject any other offer.

Higuain could therefore remain at San Paolo, although he is refusing to sign a new contract so speculation is likely to continue all summer.
