Domenico Berardi’s agent says Juventus want the forward ‘at any cost’, but won’t go to a blind auction with Sassuolo.

The Italian Under-21 international is co-owned by the two clubs, a situation which must be resolved by Thursday to avoid going ‘to the envelopes’ to decide who will take over his registration.

“Between today and tomorrow the clubs will meet to resolve the situation,” Simone Seghedoni told Tuttomercatoweb.

“There will be absolutely no problems, given the excellent relationship between the two clubs. The envelopes are not a possibility, they just need to figure out what is the best path for the player to continue his growth.

“Juve want him at any cost, that’s a fact. At the same time, Sassuolo would like to keep him for another year.

“He’s doing well both for the national team and for his club, so it’s normal that he’s being fought over.

“Domenico and I have never looked at Juventus’ transfer campaign, but I’ve talked with the leadership of Juventus, who made it clear several times that they think Berardi is a player worthy of Juventus.

“We have to decide whether it would be better for his growth to be at [Sassuolo] Coach [Eusebio] Di Francesco’s disposal for another year, or to join [Juventus Coach Max] Allegri’s squad.

“Of course, the consideration of Juve makes us very happy.”
