Gonzalo Higuain is still eager for a Juventus move, it’s reported, and a crunch meeting with Napoli is set for Monday.

The striker has a release clause worth €94m and it does not appear to have a deadline, but the Bianconeri are trying to offer players in part-exchange, including Roberto Pereyra.

According to multiple reports, Monday will be decisive for Higuain, as there is a Lega Serie A meeting that will be attended by Juventus chief Beppe Marotta and Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis.

Napoli’s main radio station Radio Kiss Kiss also stated that De Laurentiis will “clear up” the situation with an interview on Monday.

Sky Sport Italia note Napoli only want a pure cash sum and have absolutely no intention of negotiating, especially not with Serie A rivals Juventus.

If they are to lose Pipita, they’d prefer to send him abroad to Arsenal, but again want the €94m cash (£78.6m).

Higuain is due to arrive at the Napoli pre-season training camp on July 25 after his Copa America experience.

He turns 29 in December and last term shattered Serie A records with 36 goals in 35 games.
