The Juventus squad has ‘a nice mix’ despite the departure of key players this summer, according to Claudio Marchisio.

The midfielder spoke to Tuttosport about the season ahead, underlining that the Old Lady must be motivated if they are to secure a fifth consecutive Scudetto.

"[Carlos] Tevez, [Andrea] Pirlo and [Arturo] Vidal were key for us, but it is normal that there are changes,” he said.

“[Sami] Khedira and [Mario] Mandzukic have won a lot and then quality youngsters have arrived too. I’m convinced that it will be a nice mix.

“Allegri’s scolding of [Alvaro] Morata? It was a specific case of a single match, right now we are working hard and often the head and the legs don’t agree, leading to different reactions.

“Beyond that, it is important to reset every year, opponents are always looking to give more.

“A year ago there was curiosity about Allegri but now the Coach can start working right away.

“There’s a strong relationship among us and we will try to improve it, although it will be difficult to repeat last season.”
