Juventus may have to do without star striker Dusan Vlahovic for their upcoming Europa League quarter-final clash with Sporting CP.

The Bianconeri booked their spot in the final eight of the competition with a Round of 16 win over SC Freiburg, giving them the chance for redemption in the Europa League after their disastrous Champions League campaign in the first half of the season.

The second leg win over Freiburg was where Vlahovic scored his only goal for Juventus for the last two months, a sign of his current poor form in Turin. Interestingly, this hasn’t translated over to his national team, with the 23-year-old scoring three goals in the last international break.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Juventus returned to training at Continassa today to prepare for Thursday’s Europa League quarter-final first leg with Sporting, and they were not joined by Vlahovic.

The Serbian striker did not train due to an ankle problem stemming from the defeat to Lazio on Saturday. Mattia De Sciglio, who missed out that defeat to the Biancocelesti, was also absent from training.

Some good news came from Leonardo Bonucci and Paul Pogba, who both trained with their Juventus teammates.

Adrien Rabiot and Juan Cuadrado started the training session with their teammates but then moved to individual work, running alone on another pitch before finishing in the gym.
