Reports are spreading rapidly that Juventus have put Gonzalo Higuain on the market for €55-60m and no longer consider him crucial.

The Bianconeri paid €90m to activate the release clause in his contract in the summer of 2016 after he shattered Serie A records at Napoli.

Just two years later, the 30-year-old is said to be up for sale and Juve open to offers in the region of €55-60m.

Both the Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport claim in Wednesday’s front page stories that Pipita is not a priority for Max Allegri’s project and will be allowed to move on.

It would effectively let Juve pursue the return of Alvaro Morata from Chelsea.

According to Tancredi Palmeri on Tuttomercatoweb, Maurizio Sarri had asked Chelsea to sign Higuain, as they worked so well together at Napoli.

However, director Marina Granovskaia vetoed the move, concerned by the fact he will turn 31 in December and tends to struggle in big games.
