This morning’s Gazzetta dello Sport reports that that talks with Morata’s entourage have been ongoing for weeks, with he player keen to go back to Juve.
The Blues haven’t qualified for the Champions League, and it’s thought that could help the Bianconeri in their pursuit of their former player.
However, given that their total outlay on Morata was around €75m, Chelsea will not sell him for less than €60m.
Juve are planning an expensive loan, with an obligation to buy for around €50m, which would be payable in instalments.
It will be difficult to convince the English club to do a deal, but the player’s determination to return could prove crucial.
The Old Lady is also targeting Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian, while they also want a goalkeeper to provide competition for Wojciech Szczesny.
