Juventus are drawing up a new contract for teenage talent Kenan Yildiz, who may end up taking over from Federico Chiesa in Turin.

The 18-year-old Turkish forward broke into Massimiliano Allegri’s first team this season and quickly made a name for himself, scoring three goals in his first 15 appearances for the Old Lady. His work earnt him up call up to the Turkey national team, where he scored on his debut.

Whilst Yildiz has been on the rise in Turin this season, it’s been a different story for star winger Chiesa, who has struggled to reach a consistent level of match fitness this season. The 26-year-old hasn’t started in Juventus’ last seven consecutive league games, struggling with knee issues.

Pages two and three of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport detail how Juventus will sit down with Yildiz’s entourage at the end of the season to discuss a new long-term contract, wanting to extend his deal to June 2029 and increase his salary to at least €1m net per season.

The Bianconeri believe the 18-year-old is a key part of the future in Turin and will remain in Allegri’s squad for the foreseeable future.

In the meantime, Chiesa’s contract with Juventus expires in the summer of 2025 and so far, negotiations have not managed to produce an agreement. Should no deal be signed by the summer, he could ultimately be sold, allowing Yildiz to inherit his spot.
