Arthur Melo is reportedly edging closer to a loan move to Valencia after being frozen out of the Juventus squad.

The 25-year-old Brazilian midfielder was not called up by Massimiliano Allegri for the Bianconeri’s ongoing US pre-season tour, leaving him to train individually in Turin. Juventus are ready to move on Arthur and now they’re close to finalising his departure.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Arthur’s loan move to Valencia could be completed at some stage early next week, with talks between the two parties still ongoing following the Spanish side’s recent offer.

Gennaro Gattuso’s side offered the Bianconeri a loan deal that would see the two sides split his €5m net per season salary. Arsenal are no longer in the running for Arthur following their interest in January and a Barcelona return seems hard to imagine considering their financial position.

Last season, Arthur made 31 appearances across all competitions, providing one assist in that time.

that is not great news. As the amortization will be low. Juve will have a loss if they sell him in a year for 30M.
