According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have opened preliminary talks with Sassuolo for Davide Frattesi.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding the future of the Bianconeri, new club directors are already thinking of how to improve the team for 2023-24 and according to Gazzetta, Frattesi is a player admired by the club and coach Massimiliano Allegri.
La Gazzetta reports the Bianconeri have already opened preliminary talks with the Neroverdi and the midfielder’s agent Beppe Riso.
The Serie A giants are on good terms with both and have made their interest known, although official negotiations haven’t begun yet.
Roma were strongly interested in Frattesi last summer but failed to strike a deal with Sassuolo.
The Neroverdi sent Hamed Traore to Bournemouth for €30m in the January transfer window and director Giovanni Carnevali warned Frattesi’s suitors that the Italy international would be more expensive than his former teammate at the end of the season.
Frattesi, 23, has scored five goals in 22 appearances this season and his contract at the Mapei Stadium expires in June 2026.
