Sampdoria have confirmed the signing of former Real Madrid and PSG striker Jese Rodriguez on a free transfer.

The Spanish striker underwent his medical with the Blucerchiati on Thursday and his purchase has just been confirmed through the club’s official website.

The 29-year-old terminated his contract with Turkish side Ankaragücü in January.

He has signed a contract until the end of the season at the Stadio Ferraris.

Jese is a two-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid, scoring 18 goals in 94 appearances with the La Liga giants.

He also played for PSG, scoring two goals in 18 matches.

Sampdoria are struggling in Serie A and sit 19th in the table with 10 points in 21 matches. They are currently eight points below 17th-placed Spezia and have only scored 10 goals in the current campaign.

They host Inter at the Stadio Ferraris on Monday in their next Serie A match.
