Inter have all but given up on Lazar Samardzic, so he is back training with Udinese, but Juventus, Napoli and West Ham United could come back in.

The deal had been done for €15m plus midfielder Giovanni Fabbian, for a total valuation of €25m.

However, the player’s father and entourage suddenly asked for more money in commissions and salary after the medicals had been completed.

This irritated Inter and in the days since the situation has not improved, so Sky Sport Italia report the club is very pessimistic about reviving the move.

Samardzic returned to training with Udinese today and could well remain, but there are other alternatives too.

West Ham United had already shown an interest, which might have prompted the demand for more money, although that depends on selling Lucas Paqueta to Manchester City first.

Napoli had approached Samardzic earlier in the summer and could still be keeping a close eye on the situation.

The new development is that Juventus are ready to pounce on the Serbia international, especially if they can include a player in part-exchange.

The 21-year-old scored five goals and provided four assists for Udinese in 37 Serie A appearances last season and can play in a variety of midfield roles.
