Juventus will seek to get a discount on the signing of Alberto Aquilani from Liverpool, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 26-year-old Italy international is on loan in Turin until the end of the season when Juventus have an option to buy him on a permanent basis.

La Gazzetta understands that Juventus don't want to spend any more money than €12m for Aquilani so they can absorb his wages, which are said to be worth €3m a season.

Aquilani has apparently told Juventus that he plans to stay at the club and is looking to work out a deal with Liverpool.

Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta is due to talk to his counterpart Damien Comolli in the next few weeks to resolve the matter.
