Juventus have been unable to count on Arkadiusz Milik for the last six weeks but hope the Polish striker can join them for the upcoming Derby d’Italia with Inter.

The Olympique Marseille loanee has proven himself a useful part of Massimiliano Allegri’s squad this season, scoring eight goals across Serie A and the Champions League for the Bianconeri.

Milik has been sidelined with a medium-degree hamstring injury since the end of January, forcing him to miss Juventus’ last 11 matches across all competitions, limiting Allegri’s options up front.

As highlighted by Gianluca Di Marzio, Milik is close to completing his recovery and could join the Juventus squad in a few training sessions at the tail end of this week, giving him a chance of making the squad for the Derby d’Italia with Inter.

Things have looked difficult for Dusan Vlahovic in recent weeks and the return of Milik could be exactly what’s needed to breathe some new life into the Bianconeri front line.
