Sources in France and Italy are basically in agreement that the midfielder has agreed a contract with the Bianconeri, but so far there is no deal between the clubs.

Representatives from both clubs are in Monte Carlo today for the Champions League draw, so a meeting is expected to take place this afternoon.

According to Sky, Juve general manager Giuseppe Marotta and vice-President Pavel Nedved are currently in a hotel waiting to meet with PSG sporting director Patrick Kluivert.

The news outlet speaks of optimism emanating from the Italian side, and claims that the difference between PSG’s price and the Old Lady’s bid is just €5m.

Matuidi would arrive as a replacement for Paul Pogba, who left to join Manchester United in a €105m deal.
