Tuttosport reports the Portuguese talisman’s future at Juventus is in doubt after a difficult campaign, as Andrea Pirlo continues in charge of a rejuvenation project at the Allianz Stadium.

The 36-year-old has scored 20 goals in 22 Serie A games and his current contract expires in June 2022.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports the Bianconeri will sit down with the veteran striker and discuss the future, suggesting there’s a possibility for the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star to leave one year early.

But La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Cristiano might not be happy, but he knows that it’s not easy to find a club that guarantees him the same salary.

The report claims the most likely solution would be to see out the contract until the end of next season.

However, the newspaper highlights Juventus would be helped on the transfer market without his wages, but that ‘no one at Continassa would dream of defining Ronaldo as a burden’.

Ronaldo has brought commercial benefits but has also reduced the resources for the transfer market and the situation has become more complicated during the coronavirus pandemic.

There are many doubts at the Old Lady, but Ronaldo will most likely stay at Juventus for one more season.
