Juventus confirm that midfielder Nicolò Fagioli will be out of action for circa two months after undergoing surgery on a fractured clavicle.

The traumatic injury was sustained during a heavy collision with Nemanja Gudelj during the Europa League semi-final defeat to Sevilla on Thursday evening.

It was immediately apparent that he had sustained a serious knock and was stretchered off at the Sanchez-Pizjuan arena.

A statement from Juventus medical staff today confirms the surgery was successful, performed by Professor Roberto Rossi at the Sedes Sapientiae clinic.

It was an operation of osteosynthesis to correct the fracture of the right clavicle.

Fagioli is expected to make a full recovery in circa two months, so should be ready for pre-season training.

The 22-year-old midfielder is a Juventus youth academy product who made 37 competitive appearances for Max Allegri’s side this season.

He contributed three goals and five assists for the Old Lady.

Fagioli received his debut senior Italy cap in November 2022.
