Now, according to AS.com, Real Madrid and Juventus could face sanctions in today’s UEFA Executive Committee.

Reports in Italy suggest it’s difficult to think the two European giants, whose Presidents Florentino Perez and Andrea Agnelli were the principal architects of the Super League, will face sanctions.

However, AS insists the Executive Committee members do not have a shared vision on the matter and sanctions for Juventus and Real Madrid are still possible.

At the same time, it remains unlikely the Merengues will be excluded from this season’s Champions League campaign.

Juventus President Andrea Agnelli won’t step down as club’s President, but the other Italian clubs could sue him after he negotiated the entry of an investment fund incompatible with the Super League.
