Juventus legend Giampiero Boniperti has admitted that it would be 'a gift' to see the Bianconeri win the Champions League this season.

The former attacker, who represented the Turin giants between 1946 and 1961 and is still the club’s second-highest ever goalscorer, has conceded that for his 85th birthday, he'd love to see Antonio Conte's men claim European silverware.

“[Winning the Champions League] would be a nice gift for my birthday,” he told Tuttosport.

“But let's not overdo it – now is not the time for predictions.

“Winning the Champions League would be g reat, but we must not put pressure on the Coach and the players.

“I think we should see how Tevez and Llorente play before we judge them.

“But Conte has shown that he knows how to deal with people, and I'm sure that will be the case this time.”
