Mourinho guided Inter to two Scudetti titles and the Champions League, as part of a historic Treble, between 2008 and 2010, but the Nerazzurri have gone seven years without any trophies, with Juve winning Serie A every season during that time.

“VAR? It was used in one of my matches, but I didn’t like it because we had a goal disallowed due to a knee being offside by a milimetre,” the Manchester United boss told Rai Sport.

“I want it in football, but it’s still not being applied correctly. Inter? These years without trophies have to be accepted.

“I’m a big fan of theirs and that’s why it makes me suffer, but Juve will also have times like these. You can’t win forever.

“I try to watch their games and if that’s not possible, I’ll follow their results. Juve? Juventus always play like Juventus.

“Lots of people didn’t expect them to beat Tottenham, but I did. You have to expect them to win, even if they don’t seem to be playing.

“United-Juve in the quarter-finals? We have to beat Sevilla first. Conte? There were some problems between us, but Antonio and I did the right thing.

“Would I coach Italy? I wouldn’t, and it’s not because I don’t feel the passion for the country but rather that there are great Coaches in Italy, so there’s no need for a foreign one.”
