Boss Antonio Conte has reportedly told Juventus to not sell Fabio Quagliarella in January under any circumstances.

The 28-year-old has hardly been used by the new Bianconeri Coach this term after recovering from a knee injury which saw him sidelined for over six months.

Having played in just one game so far and that for only 14 minutes, Quagliarella has been linked with a New Year exit.

Genoa have confirmed an interest in him, while he’s been paired with Milan as a possible short-term replacement for Antonio Cassano.

The latter is set to be sidelined for the next six months after undergoing minor surgery to rectify a congenital heart defect.

However, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Conte has told director general Beppe Marotta that he wants Quagliarella at his disposal for the entire campaign.

Quagliarella, who was signed outright from Napoli in the summer after spending last term on loan in Turin, can play as a central striker or in a wider attacking position.
