Juventus are stepping up negotiations with Manchester United to sign Anthony Martial for €50m, according to Italian reports.

Several newspapers have already pin-pointed Martial as a main transfer target for the summer, but Calciomercato.com claim that talks between the clubs are progressing rapidly.

The biggest competition is from Bayern Munich, while Manchester United have set the price-tag at €50m.

That would be €10m less than United paid to sign him from Monaco in 2015.

He has struggled for playing time at Old Trafford this season and the 22-year-old managed 11 goals with 10 assists in 42 competitive games.

Able to play on the left, right or as a more central attacker, his pace and versatility make him a counter-point to last year’s signing Douglas Costa.

Martial would also be a replacement for Mario Mandzukic, who many believe will move on from Turin next term.
