Juventus have recently made an exploratory move for Monaco talent Benoit Badiashile ahead of the summer transfer window.

Calciomercato.com details how sporting director Federico Cherubini recently visited Montecarlo to meet with the 21-year-old Frenchman’s entourage. The Bianconeri were keen to pick him up a year ago and met with his agent in Turin but they couldn’t pull off a deal, and now they’re looking to try again.

A Juventus scout was present during Monaco’s recent 2-1 win over Troyes and Badiashile has been followed very closely for some time now, with Massimiliano Allegri being a fan of the 21-year-old. A left-footed and strong defender, the Frenchman clearly has the talent to shine in Turin.

The reason behind the Bianconeri’s increased interested in Badiashile is because of issues regarding their other targets; Antonio Rudiger wants more than €20m between commissions and signing bonuses, something the Turin side aren’t willing to pay, and Inter are currently ahead in the race to sign Torino’s Gleison Bremer.
