Adrien Rabiot has revealed that he is being worked ‘much harder’ at Juventus than he did by Paris Saint-Germain.

Rabiot recently completed a free transfer to Juve from PSG, and the midfielder again did not hesitate to criticise the level of his former club.

“My first impressions have been good,” he told reporters after his current side’s 3-2 friendly defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

“I’m very happy to be here and I want to work well. This first game also gave me some good feelings.

“It’s been 10 months since I played a match and it went well. Physically there have been some difficulties because it’s been barely more than a week since we started working again, but I think that with time and more training, everything will get better.

“It’s too early to make comparisons between Italian and French football, but the way of working is different.

“As far as the amount of effort is concerned, I can say that here it’s much harder than in France.”

The Frenchman then underlined how important Gianluigi Buffon was in his decision to join the Bianconeri.

“Many things have been said about me which aren’t true. I’d supposedly talked to clubs when I hadn’t.

“I talked to Buffon a lot when he was in Paris. He knew I wouldn’t stay at PSG and then he talked to me a lot about Juve, telling me that if I wanted to go somewhere and develop in 2-3 years, I should have come here.

“He knew I liked to work and learn new things, that I wanted to go to a place where I could have new challenges, and he convinced me that Juve were ideal for me.”
