Juventus reportedly met for Federico Bernardeschi on Thursday but failed to agree a deal for the Fiorentina winger.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Juve general manager Beppe Marotta met Bernardeschi’s agent, who is also acting as an intermediary in negotiations.

However, the broadcaster notes that no agreement was reached, although it adds one “isn’t far off” and could be struck “in a couple of days”.

Fiorentina are said to be demanding €40m for the Italy starlet, but it is likely to be a simple cash deal, with neither Marko Pjaca nor Stefano Sturaro included.

It comes after the Viola announced Bernardeschi would not be joining the club on their training camp in Moena due to a stomach bug.
