Juventus will make a new attempt to sign Blaise Matuidi from Paris Saint-Germain in January, say reports.

The midfielder stands alongside Axel Witsel as the Old Lady's great disappointment of the summer. Although the 29-year-old himself seemed delighted about the idea of a move, his club blocked the sale and forced him to stay put.

According to Tuttosport, though, the saga is not over yet. Matuidi is reportedly very disappointed about the way events panned out and his relationship with Coach Unai Emery remains lukewarm at best.

Juventus may therefore attempt to take the player away in January, and this time PSG may choose to let Matuidi go rather than keep him in discontent.
