Juventus are turning their attention from Fernando Llorente and Didier Drogba to ex-Milan flop Klaas Jan Huntelaar.

The Bianconeri continue the search for a top centre-forward, as Nicklas Bendtner on loan from Arsenal was only a stop-gap solution.

Preparations are already well underway for the January transfer window and the top candidates remain Athletic Bilbao’s Llorente and Drogba of Shanghai Shenhua.

According to Tuttosport, the Turin giants have set their sights on a new target who is currently starring for Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04.

Huntelaar is a Dutch international centre-forward with a less than positive history in Serie A.

The 29-year-old joined Milan in 2009 for €15m, but managed only seven goals in 25 appearances and was widely considered to be a Serie A flop.

He remained for only one year before moving to Schalke for €12m.
