There are reports Manchester United man Robin van Persie wants a Serie A move, calling Juventus, Inter and Lazio.

The Dutchman had already been on the verge of joining Juve three years ago, but opted to remain in the Premier League at Old Trafford.

He has fallen down the pecking order under manager Louis van Gaal and his contract is due to expire in June 2016, so a summer sale is likely.

According to several English papers this week, the 32-year-old has his heart set on experiencing Italian football after all.

It’s claimed van Persie’s representatives approached Juventus and Inter to ask if they wanted to make an offer.

Lazio could also be interested if they qualify for the Champions League.

However, all three clubs would not be prepared to pay his current wages of around €8m per season.

If van Persie really does want to play in Serie A, he’s going to have to take a big pay cut.
