Juventus director general Beppe Marotta “can absolutely rule out” a deal for Roma outcast Marco Borriello, but “enquiries can be made.”

There were reports today, fuelled by Genoa President Enrico Preziosi, that the Bianconeri had a deal in place for the Italian international.

“I will not confirm nor deny that we are interested in Borriello,” Marotta told Sky Sport Italia.

“He is certainly a good player and we are ready to take all the opportunities that the market offers us. We will calmly talk things over with the Coach and see what happens.

“At this moment I can absolutely rule out Borriello’s arrival, because we have never had formal talks with Roma, but obviously enquiries can be made.”

It’s reported Juventus would take Borriello on loan for €1m and a buy-out clause worth €8m at the end of the season.
